My newest obsession is listening to audio books. I love to read, but with young children, starting a business, and trying to be super mom I find that I don’t often make the time to read that I once did.
Enter audio books!
While I admit it’s not quite the same as sitting down to read a book all snuggled up with a cup of tea and a cat in my lap, I’m still excited to be able to eat up the content of so many wonderful books while doing more mundane tasks.
My current ‘read’ is “The Charge” by Brendon Burchard. With less than an hour left I’m near the end. There has been some useful information in it, although fairly basic for those who have read numerous other self development books. The one action item that has stood out the most for me is the idea of
making a commitment to do something new for 30 days every 30 days.
As a person who is constantly exploring new, bright shiny objects, or as my husband likes to yell out to me occasionally, “SQUIRREL!” I love the idea of switching focus with a pre-determined schedule.
30 days feels doable to me.
So I’m committing to posting on my blog each day for the next 30 days! That’s right, 30 posts in 30 days! I figure this will be a great way for me to really learn about the technical side of my blog as well as getting in a habit of writing and posting.
What about you?
Any “squirrels” you’d like to chase for the next 30 days?
